Accessibility

CossaMia wants everyone to be able to shop our brands, including people who use a screen reader, a keyboard, voice control, magnification or other assistive technology.

Our goal

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make websites easier to use for people with disabilities. We treat accessibility as ongoing work, not a one-time project.

What we've done

• Every page can be used with a keyboard, with a "Skip to content" link and a visible focus outline.
• The cart, search, menu, filters and size guide open as proper dialogs: focus moves into them, stays inside while they're open, and returns to where you were when you close them with Escape or the Close button.
• Buttons, links and form fields have names that screen readers can announce.
• Text meets WCAG color-contrast minimums.
• Pages reflow on small screens and when zoomed to 400%, without sideways scrolling.
• Animations are reduced if you've turned on "reduce motion" in your device settings.
• Product image carousels can be scrolled with the arrow keys and announce which image you're on.

We check the site with automated accessibility testing (axe) and with keyboard testing on desktop and mobile screen sizes.

Known limitations

• Checkout is hosted by Shopify, which maintains its own accessibility. If you have trouble checking out, contact us and we'll help you complete your order.
• Some product photos and descriptions come from our partner brands, and a few may not yet have detailed image descriptions. We're working through them.
• Automated tools can't catch every problem. If something doesn't work for you, please tell us.
